UCD has a duty to respect and support the rights, needs, and privacy of students experiencing mental health difficulties and provides a supportive environment that assists students with mental health difficulties to realise their full academic potential and to fully complete their course.

There is a range of events and resources in UCD which aim to raise awareness of the importance of good mental health and wellbeing. These events and resources will help you to maintain your mental health and identify early signs of poor coping.

UCD Health & Counselling Service

The Student Health Service is located on the upper level of the (old) UCD Student Centre. The UCD Student Counselling Service is also located here. All services are confidential. Students who have difficulty paying a fee may complete a welfare form when visiting. Costs are accurate as of January 2015.
